Cricket Hill Synopsis

For those of you who were wondering what the hell Cricket Hill is about, here's a short synopsis............

CRICKET HILL

Back in the 6th grade, Billy was assigned to write a brief essay about his family. Billy is fifteen now, and he’s still writing! With the comic misadventures of his eccentric parents and older siblings filling the chapters of his story, Billy attempts to gain the attention of Daphne, the new girl at his high school that he has fallen head-over-heels for, as a snowbound Christmas approaches.

Xmas is always a good setting for Rom-Coms and comedies! Something really appealing about snow, even if it is pretty shit in real life and you can't actually get out of your driveway.

Like this idea though; quirky. So many scripts in this genre go for the tried-and-tested ground of weddings, the Pygmalion-My-Fair-Lady thing, competitions, etc. we need more family-based stuff.

I pitch my own Rom-Com GOODBYE DOLLY as the "Waltons gone wrong" on this basis.

Nice one PJ!

Well, there's just SO much you can get out of family stuff, and all of it's funny as hell. 'Cause families are insane.

Waltons gone wrong, sounds awesome!
