I'll be taking these Huggies, and any cash ya got.

2006 was pretty good in the writing department. Had an option, got a manager (which pissed off the old manager, a friend, which sucked, but I gots to think of my career, no?).

Did major re-write work on Cricket Hill (A feature turned into a TV pilot) as well as my comedy feature script, Food Fight. Waiting to hear responses on both.

As for original stuff, I completed work on WHITE GOLD, a comedy set on an indie movie set. It was fun to write, it's nothing that would sell, but would be perfect for an indie filmmaker (low budget, minimal cast, 1 location). Also, wrote ZUCKER, a romantic comedy/chase epic.

And I'm starting off 2007 strong like bull. I'm hard at work on UNION, which is going so fanfuckingtastic I can't believe it. I'm actually sailing through Act 2. It's all coming together quite nicely. It's been a while since a script came pouring out of my like this, the last one was probably Cricket Hill back in late 2002/early 2003. I won't tell much about it yet, I'll just say it's about a family comedy. And it's REALLY good. Can't wait to send it out.

Late!

You're really rolling -- I'm envious!

The holidays for me were like running over one of those "Do Not Back Up -- Severe Tire Damage" thingies. I'm just now getting pumped up again...

Well, we'll see how far I roll. I could be blogging about the same BS this time next year.

You sound like a machine. I'm hoping to write like a machine this year. So I'll be looking to you for inspiration.

It's hard to explain, and not every script comes out perfect.

Here's how I look at it - What's the use of working on a script for 2 years, pouring every ounce of energy into it, then you go to market it/sell it/send it to competitions, whatever, and it bombs, or nobody likes it.

Then you got 2 years, gone. I'm not saying to rush a script, it takes however long it takes, and re-writes are important as hell of course, but I won't sit there and pine over it once it's finished. I move on. 'Cause I got other shit to write!

Thanks, for your comments.

And it sounds like you're doing okay for youself.

A question: Is there still a pizza delivery place on the corner of Richey and Magill?

Smithee - you know, I'm not too sure. We usually get our pizza pies from Stella's or Pat's. Or Nicky B's.
